Veterinary ultrasound therapy equipment UltrasoundVet 4000
Veterinary ultrasound therapy equipment UltrasoundVet 4000. For dogs, cats and horses.
Features:
UltrasoundVet 4000 is effective to treat tendon, muscle and ligament pathologies affecting dogs, cats and horses. It is also used in presence of scar and joint stiffness.
Ultrasound therapy is used in veterinary physiotherapy and rehabilitation both for its deep thermal effects and for its nonthermal and anti-inflammatory effects.
Ultrasound therapy offers a thermal and athermal therapeutic mechanical stimulation to enhance the healing of the damaged tissues in muscles, tendons, joint capsules, ligaments and bones.
The therapeutic effects of the ultrasound therapy include cell metabolism, promotion of relative enzymatic activity, blood flow acceleration, an increase in tissue elasticity and its viscoelastic properties as well as pain sensation decrease.
The thermal effect of the ultrasound increases the tissue temperature, promoting blood flow in order to facilitate the nutrient and oxygen supply to the damaged tissue. This can be used to treat some chronic injuries or conditions of soft tissues.
The non-thermal biologic effects of ultrasound therapy include the acceleration of healing processes, the promotion of soft tissues regeneration and cell proteins synthesis, edema reduction, improvement of bone healing and reduction of muscle spasms and pain.
The therapeutic thermal effects of ultrasound include all the non-thermal biologic effects, as well as an increase in joint mobility and collagen elasticity, the reduction of muscle contractures, the promotion of tendon tissue repair, the healing of chronic inflammatory processes and the reduction of scar tissue.
