CPR manikin (torso) specially designed for the education and training on CPR technique. Maximum realism both regarding sight and touch.
Description

CPR torso with light controls.

Characteristics:

Made of latex-free synthetic material, that is, none of its components have latex or are derived from latex.
The professional Adult CPR training manikin from PRESTAN has been designed to have the maximum realism to the eye and to the touch and favors the immediate evaluation of the quality of the cardiac massage performed.
Optionally, a frequency monitor can be used that indicates to the student in real time if the chest compressions are being carried out with the correct rhythm. On the part of the monitor, it allows several students to be followed simultaneously with a simple glance.
The manikin has an integrated mechanism that allows the student to use the necessary force to ensure that the depth of chest compression is correct. Users will appreciate the ease of assembly, disassembly and maintenance of the manikin.
Likewise, the manikin has been developed to teach the head tilt and chin lift maneuver, through a short procedure.
For insufflation, the manikin's chest will not rise unless the amount of air delivered is adequate and the head is tilted back well to open the airway.
The torso has a built-in function to indicate compression depth (indicated by a "click" sound) and compression rate (indicated by a small multi-color light display). Up to 60 compressions per minute, it is indicated by a red light that turns orange when exceeding this value, when reaching 80 compressions per minute, a green light is displayed. From 100 compressions per minute the indicator shows two green lights, which means that the compression rate is acceptable. If the compression depth is not sufficient, the lights turn off immediately and a flashing red light appears.

Airway placement (See image 3):

  1. Open the torso of the CPR phantom by pulling the 'tabs' on the shoulders of the CPR phantom and lift the torso (Figure 1).
  2. Attach the head to the torso by placing the neck to the two spindles on the torso part (Figure 2).
  3. Fold the Lung and Face Shield Bag (Figure 3): The Lung and Face Shield has four 'dotted lines printed on one side of the bag. Using the four dotted lines, fold the bag into four pieces, following the outline.
  4. Tilt the head of the mannequin.
  5. Insert the folded end of the lung bag into the manikin's mouth (Figure 4).
  6. Push the lung bag until it comes out through the neck (Figure 5).
  7. Grasp the lung bag and pull it across the neck (Figure 6)
  8. The lung bag is placed on top of the compression plate (place the hard plastic piece on top of the foam base of the torso) and place the bag on top of the compression plate (Figure 7).
  9. Check that the lung bag is not well placed, it does not have twists that entangle it.
  10. Position the face shields in front of the “buttons” located on the head side of the manikin (Figure 8).
  11. Close the torso by pressing down on the shoulder tabs until they snap into place.
